You will provide community support to individuals (18+) who have mild learning disabilities or mental health issues. The support provided  can be around housing challenges, mental health issues, substance misuse, and other complex needs. With assisting with sustaining & securing suitable accommodation, it is rewarding when you are part of an individual’s development and growth.

Managers will offer shifts with as much notice as possible, but you might be contacted on an ad-hoc basis when shift cover is needed. As such, the hours may not be guaranteed. There is also the chance for you to work across further services in other areas of Wales should you wish to.

Skills and Experience Needed

Relevant work experience and knowledge of issues relating to vulnerable people is essential. 

It is essential to hold a valid UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle.

More important are;

• A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible
• An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people’s lives
• A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player
• Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations
