About the role
As our Health & Safety Officer (Process & Assurance), you'll play a key role in strengthening assurance across the Big 6 areas of landlord compliance, helping to ensure robust processes and systems are embedded as we continue our journey towards a more digital assurance landscape.
This is not a traditional auditing role. Instead, you'll act as a trusted partner and critical friend, working collaboratively with colleagues to identify risks, opportunities and improvements. You'll undertake detailed assurance reviews, including specialist areas such as legionella, using your technical expertise and analytical skills to drive positive change and improve customer and property safety.
Skills and Experience Needed
We're looking for someone who can combine strong compliance and health & safety knowledge with excellent people skills, building relationships and influencing others to deliver practical, sustainable solutions that make a real difference.
We're looking for someone with experience working in a Health & Safety, landlord compliance, assurance or advisory role, together with knowledge of operating within an assets, property or compliance-based environment. You'll have a strong understanding of landlord compliance responsibilities, statutory requirements, building safety and health and safety legislation, and be confident reviewing processes, identifying risks and driving improvements. Just as importantly, you'll be able to build positive relationships with colleagues, communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, and influence change through a collaborative and solutions-focused approach. A NEBOSH General Certificate and a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle are essential for this role.
